Real Madrid v Eintracht Frankfurt - Result: Benzema scores, Los Blancos win another UEFA Super Cup in full Real Madrid looked in top form midway through the season as they beat scrappy German club Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2022 UEFA Super Cup to win 2-0 with goals from David Alaba and Karim Benzema. That brings Los Blancos level with Barcelona and AC Milan at the top of the competition's winners' table. The Spanish giants looked ready for the campaign ahead, battling Frankfurt's fierce pressing and creating chances up front while reducing their danger at the back. David Alaba opened the scoring in the first half with an easy corner kick and Benzema opened the scoring of his season with a second half strike. Frankfurt had few chances as Daichi Kamada went down without his best chance on 14 minutes. After that, they generally looked toothless in the absence of playmaker Filip Kostic. Casemiro was the man of the game, marauding all over the pitch to stop Frankfurt's attack and also create some threat up front.
